Diving

Belize became famous for its diving in the 70’s with the visit of the “Calypso” and Jacques Cousteau’s team to the Blue Hole.  Ambergris Caye is strategically located just off the second longest barrier reef in the world and scattered with 100’s of tiny islands and atolls, making Belize a dream destination and a must for any serious diver!

Snorkeling  trips include many fine locations on the reef — just minutes away by boat! For the apprehensive swimmer, snorkel hand in hand with experienced and professional guides in beautiful coral gardens. “Hol Chan Reserve” and “Shark Ray Alley” are world famous for snorkeling and diving with Sharks, Eagle Rays, Turtles, and a beautiful array of underwater sea life!

What To Bring on Your Dive and Snorkeling Trip

Instruction Diving: Equipment, tanks, weight belts, park fees and manual included.

Of course, it is advisable to have your own personal fins, snorkel and mask for any snorkel or dive excursion. For the seasoned diver, he or she will, no doubt bring a variety of dive gear to include a regulator, BC, underwater camera, dive lights, dive watch etc. It is always good to write out a check list before traveling to a dive destination to make sure that you do not forget your favorite piece of diving gear. Belize Pro Divers does, however, have a full service dive shop with rental and retail dive equipment to meet your needs. We advise plenty of sun block, light weight long sleeve shirts and pants available for hot sunny days and a light body suit or wet suit in the winter months.

Belize Pro Divers’ Dive Boats are fast and range from 29-38 feet with twin outboards and canopy or cover.

Maximum of 10 divers with one Dive Master and Guide per boat.

There is a fully staffed and well maintained Hyperbaric Chamber located on Ambergris Caye in the town of San Pedro.
