Requirements for a Wedding in Belize

All marriages in Belize are internationally recognized since Belize is part of the Commonwealth.
  
If neither party has been married previously:

• Fully completed marriage license application notarized by a Justice of the Peace. To be completed at The Villas at Grand Colony.
• Photocopy of front 2 pages of passport and pages showing arrival date into Belize. Will be taken at hotel by our Wedding Coordinator.
• You must have entered the country and completed your application 3 days prior to your wedding day.

If either or both parties have been previously married:

• Fully completed marriage license application notarized by a Justice of the Peace. To be completed at The Villas at Grand Colony.
• Photocopy of front 2 pages of passport and pages showing arrival date into Belize. Will be taken at hotel by our Wedding Coordinator.
• You must have entered the country and completed your application 3 days prior to your wedding day.
• Final divorce decree. Must be the certified original. No copies.

If either or both parties is a widow or widower:

• Fully completed marriage license application notarized by a Justice of the Peace. To be completed at The Villas at Grand Colony.
• Photocopy of front 2 pages of passport and pages showing arrival date into Belize. Will be taken at hotel by our Wedding Coordinator.
• You must have entered the country and completed your application 3 days prior to your wedding day.
• Copy of the original death certificate.
